The Band

Rällä was born in 2019, when Osmo moved back to his home town Oulu. There he was reunited with his fiddler friend Erja, and soon they began playing together with Ansku, the accordionist, and together the trio Rällä was born. During the short time of the band's existence, the trio has developed into a major force in northern Finland as performers, transferers of tradition and teachers of Northern Ostrobothnian and other northern Finnish traditional tunes. 

Jouko Pääkkönen started as the new accordionist for Rällä in 2023 when Anne-Mari Kanniainen left the band.
